Sometimes I wonder if there are NO airports in the toilet.
The next time you board a flight, try to board early and then watch...and count. How many do you think, will rush for the toilet?
I stand at the main door every tme during boarding. And every day I get amused by the way people rush for the toilet. The other day, I could even hear this lady explaining to her friend.. "You should go to the toilet now, when it's all clean and nice...go before it gets dirty and smelly!!"
And you know what's the funniest? Turns out that she did not even pressed the flush button! Now that the mystery is solved, we know why aircraft toilets can get smelly and dirty so fast!!
The thing is, if it was a delayed flight, I would totally understand. Because you are waiting for the boarding call, you would not want to leave the lounge, even for toilets. But when it's a scheduled flight, the boarding time is CLEARY stated on the boarding passes. If you had learnt and paid attention during the time-reading lessons when you were younger, I am sure you would not miss that!
Oh, another funny toilet-related experience... How invisible can a full-grown adult be? On a few occassions, I was pushed (witout a word from the pusher) JUST so that he or she can reach their point-of-conquest...the AIRCRAFT TOILET!
My profession allows me to meet with people from all walks of life. And deal with them. Sometimes, the experiences could get a little exciting, or it could get somewhat annoying. So read on to share what joys and other what-nots) my profession could bring.

What kind of sleeper are you?
Now that I sit facing the passengers during take-offs and landings, I took notice of this one thing: sleeping style. So which do you fall under?
1) The Chinese Poet
(the kind where the head turns a complete circle, or sometimes swings a little like a pendulum, just like how a chinese poet shakes his head when he recites a good chinese poem!)
2) The Elevator Needle
(you know, those old-fashion elevators where the location of the elevator cabin is indicated by a needle? These sleepers' head will slide slowly, either left or right...and then goes right back to starting position [straight up]. And the process goes on and on and on...until we wake them up!)
3) The Venus Fly Trap
(hehe....in typical fashion, this type of sleeper sleeps with their mouth hanging open - once or twice, you may even see the drool...yeap, just like a Venus Fly Trap!)
4) The Fisherman
(oh, this is rather common, where the head bops up and down. Just like the fishing rod when you go fishing. Especially when using the Apollo. You gotta jerk it up and down to get fish!)
5) The Yoga-Neck
(ouch..this is rather painful to watch. The head starts of like the elevator needle, only difference is that it'll stop when the head reaches the shoulder. And it stays there! So you can really see the stretched muscle [read : feel the coming pain] on the neck. Ouch!)
6) The Troubled Sleeper
(this type of sleeper gives me the impression that they have the world on their shoulders. They frown when they sleep! Their forehead is wrinkled, and their eybrows almost meet in the middle... a little disturbing to watch, actually)
So which one are you?

Three countires in one day
I had my lunch at home before coming to work earlier today.
Mini-tea-break was taken over Thailand airspace, right before landing in HKT (Phuket).
My F/O bought me a can of Coke when we were on transit in KUL.
Finally I took my dinner while we were flying over Indonesia airspace. Not even near CGK (Jakarta) yet.
Typical day.
